Award!

Here is an award from the talented miss Karen Jo over at Kitty Limericks gave us an award!

The rules be:
1) Put the logo on your blog.
2) Add a link to the person who awarded you.
3) Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4) Add links to those blogs on yours.
5) Leave a message for your nominees on their blogs.
Hmmm, so many kitties to nominominate. Wait, "nom"inate? Does that mean I wanna eat 'em????
Whew, mommy says it doesn't mean that at all. So if you nominate a bird or hamster, it doesn't necessarily mean you automatically get to eat them.
Soooo many kitties has this award. So I would like to say....take this award if you don't have it! I happily give it to you for reading my blog and being such awesome kitties and peoples!

Hai everycat!

Hello everbuddy!

It's amazing... Mommy has a Sunday off now where she can let me blog. No helping friends and fambly members, no having to clean, no working... and that's good, cuz I'm super mad at her for not letting me visit all my blog friends lately. Thank you guys so much for visiting me, though.

1. (I like numbered lists) I gots an award from the byootiful and funny Tesla. Oh, she is the cat's meow (heh). I am learning much from her about how to handle mommies.

So I has to pass this onto 7 other kitties. This is hard, cuz there are so many great kitties out there! Tesla tagged many of the same ones I liked, so I am glad to offer this award to:

2. I thought I would share with some of you what I've been up to.

Here is a picture of Gramma snorgling me. I had to endure several Gramma Attacks over the past few weeks.

I also helped mommy ace her Human Development class. She's got about a 98 average. Go on, just ask her about Piaget's Cognitive Learning Theory, I dare ya! (She'd probably have to look it up, though).

Lastly, I bit mommy until she finished her second moovie script. This one is just weird. Maybe I bit mommy too hard. Here's the logline:

"'Sweet' is a comedy about a prissy young woman named Kate, who is anything but sweet. Her life is turned upside-down by a sugar substitute that turns people into living zombies and by a sexually harassing boss who is actually an eccentric alien bent on conquering the planet just to impress his dad."

Oh, it gets even weirder. So she finally registered this one with the WGA and now she's trying to market it and hopes that agents will laugh AT the script, not AT her. :) Perhaps I will post the whole synopsis later.

Anyway, momma has a break in September before she has to return to school FULL TIME. Gasp. I'll have sooo much snoopervising to do, especially when she eats at her desk.

I will talk to you great kittycats later! -Kilroy

Life is Hilarious

Disclaimer: This post is rated PG-13 today because of one delicate word.

My Woman says that her rough week from H-E-double-hockeysticks is over. However, she won't tell me who this Mr. double-hockeysticks fellow is so I can go claw him. I've been wanting to try out my latest "DEATH FROM ABOVE!" meowneuver.

First, her Aunt Margaret died on Monday. While this is very sad, Margaret has been fighting the cancer and mommy says it's good that she stopped suffering. So mommy had to leave us lots to go to the funeral and wake and family stuff.
Second, she had already made plans to go camping with her friend Melody and her family this weekend, so she looked forward to getting away with my daddy for a little bit. Melody has an almost-2 year old named Matthew and an almost-9 year old named Joanna.

Here's mommy setting up camp. I wonder what that blur is? I'll bet it's a ghost! She says she kept threatening Melody that she'd tell zombie ghost stories.

They also took a train! She says there were oddly painted statues of bears, cougars, zebra and turkeys all living in harmony in the forest. Until they got to the tunnel of circus animals hanging from the ceiling by their necks. She still doesn't understand that one.

At the camp's water feature, little Matthew decided he was going to go insane on the fountains. He liked to try to divert the water by stickin' out his belleh. Not pictured: He kept sticking his face into the shoots of water and the snot went a-flyin'. Even strangers were doubled over with laughter.

Here's the pg-13 part. At the campfire, Joanna sat next to momma and began singing that song, "You and me baby ain't nothin' but mammals, so let's do it like they do on the discovery channel." I know that mommy likes that song too, but it's not really great for a 9 year old... so my woman tried to explain that the song was dirty and Joanna should be careful about singing it. "What's 'dirty' mean?" was Jo's reply. "Um, that means it's raunchy," mommy tried to explain. "It's about sex." "What's sex?" Jo asked inquisitively.

"Oh shoot," mommy thought. "That's for Melody to explain in several years." So mommy said, "Ask your mom," thinking that Joanna would ask later when no one else was around. No such luck. Joanna could be heard throughout the campground yelling, "MOM, WHAT'S SEX?"

Mommy turned to daddy, not sure what to do. His face was red from laughter. Later that night, they slept on hard rocks and kept waking up because the tent advertised itself as being 5'x6' on the box but was more like 5'x4' in reality.

It was apparently a great trip.

Anyway, I am so mad that she went camping without me. I even got an award from that most byootiful of girl cats, Tesla!

Ohhh, my heart goes pitter-patter whenever I sees her. We has so much in common: She was named after a famous inventor, I was named after a name in a famous Styx song. She's creative, I'm creative. She says, "Mommeh, I kill yoo" while I say "Geez woman! I gonna live with gramma!" or something like that.

I would like to give this award to Aunty Caitlin over at little animals and to Mr. Hendrix for being so cool.

Award!

Hai everkitty! I is so sorry that I am not visiting blogs lately. My wooman won't let me on the puter cuz she's terrible and mean to me.

First, I gots an award from the St. Louis Meezers! Sam, Sabrina and Simon are some gorgous and super-cool Siameseses.
"The 'Arte y Pico' award was created and to be given to bloggers who inspire others with their creative energy and their talents, whether it be writing, artwork in all media's. When you receive this award it is considered a 'special honor'. Once you have received this award, you are to pass it on to at least 5 others."
I would like to pass this award onto the inexorable Tesla the Kitty (seriously, I think I'm in love with her cuz she's just so cute and spunky and goofy), the supercallifragilistic Quasi for making his human work so hard for him, the supertasmigorcal Jan and her entire funny farm, the super duper all-always inspiring Daisy the Curly Cat that I love dearly and the incredibly charisma-tastic cats Laila and Minchie over at the Cat-a-holic. I apologize if you've already recieved this award! I would give it to all blogging kitties if I could.

An Award!! For ME?

Talk about irony! Gold and Shade, those two cool cats at Sumac Stories, make my day but they were the ones who sent me this really cool award.

I would like to pass this award to Angus Mhor, whose giant seven-toed moose feets (dats 14 in all!) keep him to his mancatly duties.

And now Mommy's gonna take over to fill out the quirk-related theme on behalf of our one-who-came-before, Hannah. These are not so much quirks, but more like a quirky history.

1. We found Hannah in a shelter in Glendale, CA. We knew she was the one for us when she came over and said hello to each of us before casually hopping up into the food bin area and trying to break into a bin with plenty of spunk.

2. Poor Hannah had to ride in a car all the way to SC. On the first day, she passed out in her clean litterbox all the way to the hotel. The hellcat came out the next day, though; she wanted to get under the pedals, so we placed her back in her PTU. She would complain VERY vocally so we made up a song (think George Thoroughgood [spelling?]):

Duh nuh nuh nuh
My name's Hannah Kitty
Duh nuh nuh nuh
You guys are so mean
Duh nuh nuh nuh
I's gonna scream
Duh nuh nuh nuh

There were MANY different verses, often detailing her funny antics and how she let us know about her displeasure.
3. She liked to jump on our heads while we were sleeping. Sometimes she'd jump around the bedroom like a little gazelle from head to head... boing! boing!

4. She could speak English! Yes, I know that sounds like my imagination, but she at least she spoke close enough: When she wanted to go outside, she would make a sound that sounded like "Ank Oo!" (Thank You) whenever we opened the door for her. If I picked her up and she wanted to be left alone - or she didn't get something she wanted - she would go "WAAAAH!" just like Lucille Ball. She would chirp and garble like an infant trying to speak. One time I told her she was such a pretty princess and she said, quite coyly, "ri row" (I know).

5. When we lived in our old apartment (where there were plenty of cats running around), she had a black and white bob-tailed cat boyfriend named Bob. She'd go hang out with him and they'd go do something behind a bush... then moments later, Bob would come out with a spring in his step. A few minutes after that, Hannah would creep out looking both ways like a guilty but gleeful schoolgirl.

6. For a city girl, Hannah took to the forest really well: she caught all kinds of bunnies, mice and even a baby snake once. We'd make her let go of anything that we caught her with.

That's it for now. Thank you for reading about our Hannah Bears! We miss her so much, even though it's been about a year now since her untimely passing. We look forward to the day when we can see her again.
